We stayed just off the asphalt in the sand with a 35 foot 5th wheel toy hauler. Played for a few days riding trails and playing in the sand,( great place for jeeps,quads,and Ssx's) there was enough room that we ran the generator through the night with out bothering the neighbors, good level spots all over the place. We stayed just off the asphalt in the sand with a 35 foot 5th wheel toy hauler. Played for a few days riding trails and playing in the sand,( great place for jeeps,quads,and Ssx's) there was enough room that we ran the generator through the night with out bothering the neighbors, good level spots all over the place. Bathrooms at the top of the hill and lots of camping spots there as well but a little to popular for me.

This is a 4x4 trail head with a few fire rings. If you have a larger rig its not ideal. There was A LOT of traffic mid day on Tuesday. The drive in isnt bad. Its a dirt road so the usual wash board and rut washes but nothing major. If you want to go OFF ROADING THIS IS THE SPOT!....... If like me you are looking for someplace quiet. T... more

We arrived before noon on a Friday, having a Plan B if it was too busy. Once you cross the tracks, the first trailhead is 1.1 miles up a graded dirt road, which was in pretty good shape with a few bumpy areas. There are a handful of sites available at the start of an OHV site called Logandale Trails. It's about a two mile drive up a decent gravel road once you leave pavement until you get to the vault toilet (brand new). Although the closest gas station doesn't sell firewood, apparently there is a neighbor that sells decent bundles for $6 or... more
